TM-62M – Anti-tank anti-track mine. Designed to disable enemy tracked and wheeled vehicles. The strike against enemy vehicles is achieved by destroying their undercarriage when the mine charge detonates as a wheel (track) rolls over the mine’s pressure plate. The mine can be deployed on the ground, buried in the ground, in snow, underwater, either manually or using mechanized means (PMR-1 and PMR-2 towed mine layers, PMZ-3 and PMZ-4 towed mine barriers, the GMZ tracked mine barrier, and the VMR-2 helicopter-based mining system).
