DBX
DBX (DBX) is a brilliant BP. A mixture consisting of equal amounts of hexane, ammonium nitrate combined with TNT and aluminum. A variety of DBX, designated as minex, contains a higher percentage of ammonium nitrate than hexogen. A main charge explosive, particularly suitable for use in depth charges, as it is somewhat superior to Torpex in underwater impact.

Application
A main charge explosive, particularly suitable for use in depth charges, as it is somewhat superior to Torpex in underwater impact.
Note
Stability during storage is considered low. Somewhat hygroscopic; hygroscopicity depends on the percentage content of ammonium nitrate and increases with its increase. Corrodes brass and steel.
