Hexogen (RDX) is explosive BP. Always used in US ammo with desensitizer.

Solubility

Moderately soluble in hot acetone; easily soluble in hot phenol.

Toxicity

Poison by ingestion. Cases of epileptic seizures have been reported. Ingestion may affect the central nervous system.

Application

Always used in US ammo with desensitizer. In explosives such as octogen and H-6, hexane is cast with TNT; in compositions A-3 and CH-6 - pressed.
